Our focus was on music of the Renaissance and Tudor periods. The centrepiece was Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli. First published in 1557, the music is of memorable beauty and simplicity. It is the most famous and often-performed of Palestrina's masses.  We performed the full mass, which lasts for some thirty minutes.
